Narraloud

EPUB to PDF converter

Turn an EPUB into a clean, printable PDF with real selectable text. The book is rendered right here in your browser and never uploaded, so there is no queue, no size cap from a server, and no copy of your book anywhere else.

How the conversion works

An EPUB is a set of web chapters in a zip archive, and your browser already contains a first-class typesetting engine. This page unpacks the book, lays the chapters out in a single clean, book-like design with a title page, and asks the browser's own print engine to write the PDF. The result is real text you can select, search, and copy, not photographs of pages.

Publisher styling is deliberately replaced with one readable layout, so a book with eccentric formatting comes out consistent. Images and covers are kept. Books protected with DRM cannot be converted, and the tool says so instead of producing a broken file.

Rather listen than print?

We build Narraloud, an iPhone and iPad app that reads EPUBs, PDFs, web articles, and scanned pages aloud in natural voices that run entirely on the device. This converter even tells you how long your book would run as a narration. If that number sounds better out loud, Narraloud is free on the App Store.
